A Moment in Time is a series of seventeen of Wendy Arbeit’s self-portraits. Arbeit places herself in different eras in a 160-year span from the 1850s to 2010s, using various photographic processes, including a daguerreotype, tintypes, C-prints, and a black-and-white print. Dressed in authentic period clothing in each portrait, she considers the shifting status of her sense of self over time.
