This is a portrait of my niece, Mana. One day I was going through snapshots I took while visiting my family in Japan. In one of the shots I saw a look that I had never seen before in my chatty, awkward, and sometimes obnoxious little niece. She looked serene and beautiful, almost saintly. I wanted to stare at this face for a long time.
