This portrait is one from the series, 100 Faces of War Experience, now in progress. The people pictured in this series are Americans who went to the theater(s) of war in Iraq and/or Afghanistan. Each portrait is accompanied by a statement written by the person pictured in the portrait. The people selected for this series are chosen for their ability to represent diverse backgrounds and experiences. On completion of the series, the one hundred portraits and statements will be kept together and exhibited together with the idea of creating a deep understanding of the American experience of these wars.
