Jurors

The Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition is judged in two stages. In the first phase a panel of jurors uses an online jurying system to select approximately 100 semifinalists. The Portrait Gallery ships these works to Washington, D.C., where the panel meets again to select the approximately 50 finalists. These finalists' works are installed as a major exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery and in a subsequent national tour.
